Hunger Games

Hunger Games has this tremendous material. Mass psychology, media's effect, human instinct and of course the "hunger" are not unusually-used but definitely fruitful themes. The film's entire story, in fact, is based on class division, and accordingly all the themes I mentioned in the previous sentence. Yet, somewhere along the way, the story forgets about its own starting point and focuses nothing but the physical pain. And exactly with this, the film becomes a "spectacle." In fact, it is so sad that the film does the exact thing that it's story is supposed to be criticizing: depicting a stylized world which causes to forget the cruel reality and presenting an electrifying story with only heroes and anti-heroes - and nothing else.
